General Terms and Conditions for Pre-Orders and Direct Purchasing
Last updated: September 2026
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders, pre-orders, and purchase contracts concluded between:
Aurora Hajnalka Balogdy
Email: aurora@ahb.world
(hereinafter referred to as the "Seller")
and any customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Buyer") placing an order or pre-order through email or this website.
Consumers within the meaning of these terms are natural persons who enter into a legal transaction for purposes that can predominantly be attributed neither to their commercial nor their independent professional activity (§ 13 BGB).
As a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us: Aurora Hajnalka Balogdy
Email: aurora@ahb.world
by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g., an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (except for additional costs arising if you chose a non-standard delivery option), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your notification of withdrawal.
We will issue the refund using the same payment method used for the initial transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied proof of shipping back the goods, whichever is earlier.
You shall send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. The direct cost of returning the goods will be borne by you.
(Note: Under EU law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to customer specifications or clearly personalized items).
The delivered goods remain the property of the Seller until full payment has been received.
Statutory warranty rights under German law apply to all items. In the event of a defect in a handcrafted item, the Buyer is entitled to statutory supplementary performance (repair or replacement). Minor natural variations in paper texture, binding, or colour tones inherent to handcrafted items do not constitute defective quality.
The Seller is liable for intent and gross negligence. For light negligence, liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage, and only in cases of breach of an essential contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht). Liability for injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected.
